Greene County RamsThe 2014 Greene County homecoming week is this week.

Co-Advisor Emily Gannon says this year’s theme is “A Touch of Class”.  She states that the student council wanted to involve as many students as possible so during the entire week, class points will be given for participation in homecoming activities.  The class that ends the week with the most points will be given a traveling trophy.

The theme days are as follows for students and staff to dress up in costumes: today is Multiple Day where they can dress the same as someone else or as a group, Tuesday is Color War where each class dresses in a different color, Wednesday is dress as your Favorite Team Day, Thursday is Superhero Day and Friday will be the traditional Spirit Day.

Thursday evening will be a community pep assembly at the middle school in Jefferson with a jersey auction to start at 6:15pm and the homecoming king and queen coronation ceremony will follow.  This year’s homecoming court includes  Emily Christensen, Hannah Gunn, Hannah Onken, Emma Saddoris, Mollie Sorber, Jolee Wessling, Landon Braun, Jordan Challen, Karlan Langfitt, Daniel Neal, Riah Nelson and Alex Rasmussen.

Friday’s activities includes a homecoming parade at 2pm, then the introduction of the homecoming court and king and queen before the football game against Humboldt and the homecoming dance will be from 9-11:30pm at the elementary school in Jefferson.
