An open house is scheduled for tomorrow for anyone interested in starting up or managing their own child care service at the Greene County ISU Extension office in Jefferson.
Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley says the Early Childhood Task Force is sponsoring the open house to give individuals more information about being a provider for child care services.
He points out that with the new economic developments in the County and the expected population growth, there may be a need for more child care providers.
“There’s a lot of predictions that the need for child care will increase. There’s definitely an anticipated increased need just due to the total number of jobs that we’ll see here in Greene County for child care providers.”
The open house is from 5-7pm at the Extension office in Jefferson on Tuesday, September 30th. For more information, call 800-945-9778 or 712-792-9266.
