The ADM Tigers football team heads to Atlantic tonight for a class 3A-District 8 showdown with the Trojans.

Atlantic is 2-1 and riding a two game winning streak, which also means they’ve already bested their 1-8 record from a year ago. ADM, meanwhile, is 1-2 and looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

Oddly enough, the Tigers and Trojans are coming off games with identical 7-6 scores, but on different sides of the ledger. Atlantic is a run-first team out of the spread, with second-year quarterback Joey Walker making the bulk of the carries on read-option plays.

For ADM, quarterback Frank Weiland, threw for over 300 yards last week against Dallas Center-Grimes. The Tigers will look to cut down on their turnovers tonight and continue flashing the strong defense they’ve shown in two of the the first three games.
