There’s almost two full weeks left in the month of September, yet all of our local weather reporting areas have at least met their monthly rainfall total already.
This past week was relatively dry for the Raccoon River Valley, in comparison to the very wet week prior, but that could change after this weekend with more rain in the forecast.
According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie Center received another 0.45 inches of rain this past week for more than 3.5 inches already this month. They are now 0.2 inch above the normal monthly rainfall total for September
Perry is currently right at their normal monthly rainfall total of 3.14 inches after receiving another 0.35 inches this week.
Jefferson is more than half an inch above their normal precipitation level already, registering almost one-third of an inch this week for a total of 3.54 inches this month.
