The Adair County Health System has announced new visitor restrictions due to a number of respiratory viruses circulating the area.

In an effort to minimize exposure to infant and pediatric patients, visitors to those areas are limited to two adults per patient and anyone with respiratory illness symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath or diarrhea will not be allowed to visit at this time.

These restrictions are temporary and will remain in effect until there is a decrease in the number of children with these illness symptoms.

Those who do visit are asked to take advantage of masks and hand washing stations throughout the facility.
