The Perry football team still has memories of last year’s hard fought 2 point loss to Boone.  “Yeah, no doubt about it.  That one still stings.  We felt we played strong enough to win.  It hurt,” Perry senior Nic Wilhelmi explained during a recent interview with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.  Perry lost to Boone 17-15 in  a physical match-up with a Torreador team that went on to finish 9-2.

“We have used last year’s game as motivation and you couple that with homecoming and I know we will be ready to go,” added Wilhelmi.

Perry will look to get more offense from more sources Friday night.  Eli Saemish is coming off his best game at running back after a 53 yard performance against Gilbert.  Tavier Lucas and Nic Wilhelmi have shown flashes of big play possibilities while Ivan Garcia has hit all four of his extra points and one field goal attempt.  The Bluejays will host Boone in a 7:30 game Friday night at Dewey Field on AM 1310 KDLS.
