The Jefferson Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation in which two people have been arrested and face several felony drug charges.
Police Chief Dave Morlan says they executed a search warrant at 403 North Olive Street for suspected stolen property and narcotic-related items on November 15, 2013.
However, due to delays from the Criminalistics Laboratory in Ankeny, the department has finally received its results from drug tests and have arrested a man and woman earlier this week.
41 year-old Frederick James Lonsdale of Rippey is accused and charged with felonies for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and a subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanors for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
33 year-old Heather Thelma Ott of Jefferson is accused and charged with a felony for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanors for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Both were booked into the Greene County Jail where Lonsdale remains and Ott was released on her own recognizance.
