The Perry Hy-Vee is teaming up with the Perry Humane Society for a new pet event this weekend.

As Bob Wilson with the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce explains, the event aims to help boost adoptions, raise funds and share information.

“They’re going to have the humane society out there with adoptable pets, along with some information.  The idea here is to raise some cash, maybe some food or supplies, something like that for the humane society.  But they’ll also explain to you how the process for licensing your animal works, or fees for our amazing dog park in town, along with animal regulations.”

It takes place Saturday from 10am to 2pm at the Perry Hy-Vee.
