An ongoing investigation by the Jefferson Police Department leads to two people facing felony drug charges.
Police Chief Dave Morlan says his officers, deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s office and the Department of Human Services executed a search warrant for suspected stolen property and narcotic-related items at 403 North Olive Street on November 15, 2013.
Following tests results from the Criminalistics Laboratory in Ankeny, a Jefferson man and woman have been issued arrest warrants this week. Morlan explains that because of the amount of requests and the workload for the lab, it took several months before they received the results from the recovered items from the search warrant.
