The recent thunderstorm that came through Guthrie County caused minimal problems for the secondary roads department.
County Engineer Josh Sebern says there were several large branches and whole trees that fell down and blocked various roadways around the County.
He points out that there were County crews out late that night and into the early morning hours on Labor Day clearing debris off the roads so that they could be opened back up to the general public.
Sebern adds that luckily there was no major damage to any of the bridges or creeks on the county roads and only in a few isolated spots was there any flood problems, but fortunately the water level went back down the following day.
He appreciated everyone’s help and patience to clean up the mess that was left from Sunday night’s storm.
