Wednesday, September 3rd
A deputy was dispatched for a reported dairy cow meandering at the intersection of 15th and Hager Street in Grand Junction. The deputy reported that he did not locate the suspicious cow.
A deputy spoke with the driver of a ready-mix truck on O Avenue and 235th Street that was experiencing mechanical difficulties.
A deputy was advised by a resident in the 500 block of East Rebecca Street in Grand Junction of the theft of tools from the back of a pickup.
A deputy was advised by a Gowrie resident, that he had struck a deer in the 1500 block of 130th Street. He had left the scene and will pick up a state report at another time.
Deputies assisted the Jefferson Police Department with checking an abandoned house for vagrants in the 100 block of Grimmell Street.
Thursday, September 4th
A deputy was dispatched to 230th Street and T Avenue for a car-deer accident. Brenda Elizabeth Gutierrez 39, of Perry, Iowa, was westbound on 230th Street when a deer ran onto the roadway at T Avenue and was struck by the Gutierrez vehicle. Brenda Gutierrez was not injured but her 2007 Toyota car sustained $8500 in damages.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
