ADMFor Adel-DeSoto-Minburn head football coach Mike Wishner, he preaches consistency will lead to success.

Not only does he use that philosophy on his players but also on his coaching staff.  Wishner points out this year, there’s only one change to his coaching staff as an assistant, but otherwise all other coaching positions remained the same from last season to the start of the upcoming season.

He talks about how if you have consistency at the coaching level with low turnover, then that example trickles down to his players.

“Big thing is, is just like the kids we expect a team effort and the coaching staff is no different, we’re a team.  We work on leadership skills and how to treat each other and how to transfer that to the kids and I think the kids see that.”

Wishner notes that in 2011, he had two new offense and defense coordinators on the team, but since then, they’ve stayed the same which also helps to not have to alter game plans drastically on the student-athletes.

It’s safe to say that ADM breeds consistency with its head football coach, Wishner is entering his 35th year coaching football.  34 of those years are spent at ADM and 23 as head coach.
