The Adel Public Library was able to raise some funds earlier this month with their annual book sale during the Adel Sweet Corn Festival.

Marketing and promotions librarian Brittany Duckett says they were able to raise more than $2,000 during the two-day event.

Money will go toward next year’s summer reading program at the library and staff thanks those who donated both their books and their time in helping with the sale.

This year’s summer reading program was also very successful for the Adel Library as 4,155 people attended their children’s library programming and kids programing continues throughout the fall as well.
