With school starting this week for Greene County and Paton-Churdan districts, the Jefferson Municipal Pool will be changing its hours.

Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says regular summer hours will run until Tuesday, August 19th.

Then starting Wednesday through August 29th will be adult lap swim from 11:30am-1pm and weekday nights from through the 29th will be open swim from 4-8pm.  The last weekend the pool will be open is August 23rd and 24th.

She points out that the public has been positive comments about all the improvements they made to the pool before the summer began.

“The water has been a lot clearer from the filters and cleaner.  Our staff is doing a wonderful job keeping the place picked up (and) cleaned up.  Have not had any complaints about the locker rooms.  Everything’s so far has been going real well with the pool and Simone’s (Lang) been doing a nice job with the (life)guards keeping them on task.”

The final day the pool will be open is Friday, August 29th.
