Panora P.E.T.S. which stands for Protecting Even the Strays has a heart for all animals and continues to make the public aware of being a responsible pet owner.

Linda Shelley, P.E.T.S. volunteer, says they have over 150 cats/kittens in their care and she encourages owners to get their pets spayed and neutered. It is heartbreaking to think of the healthy pets that are put down and are unable to find loving, caring homes to take care of them.

There is one way that P.E.T.S. is trying to help in that area according to Shelley, “We do offer a low-cost spay and neuter clinic at our shelter in Panora. This is for barn cats, alley cats, stray cats…it is every Wednesday and drop off is at 8:30 in the morning and you pick your pet back up at noon. “ However, you do need to make a reservation.

Shelley also mentions that P.E.T.S. will be at the Guthrie County Fair and has new items to showcase there.
