Last Thursday Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright provided the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors and us with an update on his department.
Sheriff Marty stated that the main information he provided the Board with was a review of the Department and the State Patrol’s efforts at the 2014 River Ruckus. He also highlighted on the JAG program that was there.
Sheriff Marty continued to explain that the main area of discussion surrounded the requirements of a sex offender registering in our county and what that entailed. Civil clerk, Leora Laughery and Jailer, Mike Herbert headed up the discussion. Sheriff Marty commented that you do want sex offenders held responsible and residing somewhere so that there is a measure of control.
The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors meet every Tuesday and Thursday at the Courthouse at 9 am and the public is invited to attend.
