Strength of schedule was something the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn softball team was going up against during the 2014 season.

ADM made it to the regional finals where the Tigers were defeated by eventual state champions in Class 3A Clarke of Osceola 4-3 on July 14th.

The Tigers also went up against eventual state champion in Class 4A Dallas Center-Grimes and lost in the regular season 7-0 on June 12th.  DC-G beat Solon in the champion finals on Friday 5-0.

Another team that was in the state tournament that ADM played this season were the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays who ended up as the state’s runner-up losing to Clarke in the finals 7-6 on Friday.  The Tigers split a two games series with the Bluejays winning 8-4 on June 5th and dropping the second game 4-1 on June 24th.

Carlisle also made it to the Class 4A field of eight at the state tournament with Carlisle receiving a third place finish and beating the Tigers twice in the regular season 5-2 on May 27th and 4-1 on July 2nd.

ADM finished its season with a 25-11 record.
