The Perry Bluejays will look for a share of the RRC baseball crown tonight when the Bluejays host front running Winterset.  The Huskies defeated Perry earlier this year in Madison County.  The game comes at a critical time for both teams with district play opening up this Friday.  “A conference championship is nice for the the players, parents and school but for me, its all about getting to state,” said Perry Head Coach Mike Long.  “I think out of the six teams I have taken to state, three did not win a conference championship and two of those teams were runner ups in the state.  We will play to win but we’re going to do it smart and try to build momentum for Friday.”

The Bluejays open District play at 5:00 Friday with a matchup against RRC foe Bondurant Farrar.
