The children’s section of the Perry Public Library is now more “childlike” after a local artist contributed pieces to decorate the area.
Children’s librarian Suzanne Kestel says while programming has focused on kids for some time, now the aesthetics of the area does too. She says local asset Betsy Peterson did a great job bringing the section to life with her whimsical pieces and fun quotes about reading.
The new décor is just one of the many things that has changed in the library over the past year. Library Director Mary Murphy says they’re still working on plans to showcase the results of the space reutilization project in the coming months.
