Have you noticed a group of people running around Perry Sunday evenings and picking up trash? Who are they and why are they doing this?
They’re called the Perry Green Runners, a group of local residents who aim to better both themselves and the community.
“It gives you a really great feeling after you pick up trash and then you feel better about doing so and helping out the environment and also getting a good workout. It’s really fun actually” says founder Gerardo Rios who started the local group about a year ago.
Find out more about the Perry Green Runners and how you can get involved on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on AM 1310 KDLS.
