Dallas Center Grimes senior and future Missouri Tiger Paige Lowery threw a perfect game Saturday night as the defending state champion and top ranked Fillies held off an upset minded Perry team 1-0 in 4A Regional Softball.  The game was a pitching dual between the veteran Lowery and freshman Emma Olejniczak.  The two dominated all night long with DCG managing back to back hits in the sixth inning put across the game’s only run.  Paige Lowery started the 6th with a one out double off the fence and was brought home by younger sister Rachel Lowery’s RBI single.  That was plenty for the elder Lowery as she dominated the Perry offense striking out 15 Jayette batters.  DCG the pitching staff and defense have shut out 8 straight opponents and have allowed only 9 runs all season long.

For the second straight postseason, Olejniczak was terrific allowing only 3 hits and 1 bb while striking out 6 Fillies.   DCG improves to 37-1 and will host Boone Tuesday.  Perry closes out a successful year at 18-12-1 and will lose 3 seniors with Kylie Brandt, Lindsay Kunch and Julie Diw graduating.
