As the ADM softball team plays in its regional final tonight, the Tiger baseball team is in the midst of winding down its regular season.
Jason Book’s club has just three regular season games remaining–one tonight at Creston, tomorrow night’s all-important conference battle with Winterset at home, and then Wednesday’s regular season finale on the road at Dallas Center-Grimes.
Tomorrow night’s game against Winterset is really the one to pinpoint if you’re a Tiger fan. ADM is still very much alive in the Raccoon River Conference title race, as the Tigers’ 9-4 conference record trails Winterset by just a half game.
There only three teams that can win the conference title this season–ADM, Winterset or Perry. Winterset has two games remaining, against both ADM and Perry, while each of those clubs has just one game remaining.
Simply put, if the Tigers beat the Huskies in Adel tomorrow night, they’ll end the regular season with at least a share of the conference title for a second consecutive season.
