June was yet another busy month for the Stuart Cottage Pantry, as staff delivered food and meals to families in need around the West Central Valley area.
In all, 123 families totaling 272 people received food from the pantry last month. This included 13 home deliveries.
The pantry also got 122 hours of volunteer help in June, plus an additional 13 hours of assistance was given by West Central Valley High School students.
Pantry Director Marlis Beeler says there is now a “great need” for paper products at this time. Such items needed are toilet paper, paper towels and Kleenex, along with a variety of different soaps like bar, dish and laundry soap.
If any community members would like to donate items, food and/or volunteer at the pantry the rest of this summer, call Beeler at 515-523-1301.
