It’s another busy day at the Dallas County Fair with several events planned between 8am and 1am.
4-H events today include the swine, horse and rabbit shows shows, Clover Kids calf and lamb shows and educational presentations.
But Katie Quinn with the Dallas County Fair Board says there’s a lot more to the fair than just 4-H and FFA events. She says there’s something for everyone, and unlike a lot of things in the world today that continue to change with technology, the concept of county fairs remains the same and allows people to slow down and get the down home feel again.
There will also be a hypnotist show at 7pm and moto cross at the north track at 7pm with fireworks to follow.
Iowa native and The Voice contestant Casey Muessigmann will entertain fairgoers in the beer garden starting at 9:00 and the carnival will be open starting at 4pm.
Gate admission is free thanks to Heartland Co-op and the Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” will be broadcasting live from 10am-5pm.
