The Greene County Farmer’s Market will be starting its fourth week tonight.
Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning says they have 12 vendors which are currently featuring sugar peas, strawberries, radishes, lettuce and fresh baked items for sale.
Every Tuesday’s farmer’s market features a different organization or group sponsoring a meal as a fundraiser and tonight’s meal will be from the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson.
Henning points out that they are always accepting different groups who want to sponsor a meal.
“And then on July 1st we’ve got an open date. So if there’s a church out there or one of the nonprofits that has time to put together a serving team and a meal, either then or in late August or September we have some open dates.”
Interested organizations or potential vendors should call or stop by the Chamber office in Jefferson for more information or to sign up.
It is on Tuesdays from 4-6:30pm on the east side of the downtown square in Jefferson and will run until October.
