It’s hard to believe we’re already here, but the 4th of July is only two weeks away.
That means the City of Yale and the Yale Community Club are hard at work prepping for their annual 4th of July Celebration.
Event coordinator Scott Frederickson, a two-decade member of the Yale Community Club, says this year’s Independence Day festivities promise to be a great time for area residents once again, especially on opening night.
“We’re starting off July 3rd in the evening with a great dance featuring the Kenaston Family Band out of Nebraska, and for those who aren’t familiar, they just play a lot of really good dance music. It’ll draw a really nice crowd and the (Yale) Community Club will be serving a smoked brisket special dinner that night. The dance is a free will donation and it’s a BYOB (bring your own beverage) event so it’ll be a hoot for everybody.”

We will continue our conversation with Frederickson in the days and week ahead as the 4th of July draws even closer.
