The Rowley Masonic Home expansion project continues to move as planned.

In fact, Adminstrator Cindy Friess tells Raccoon Valley Radio, they’re currently ahead of schedule.

“We are on schedule to be open in January of 2015.  Our parents are telling us that they’re going to have us in there sooner than that, so we’re planning on gearing up sometime between Thanksgiving and New Years to be in our new space” says Freiss.

The expansion has a lot of fun new amenities for both the public and residents to enjoy.

“We’ll have a new entrance off 28th Street to the east.  So as you walk into our building, offices will be on one side, we’ll have a coffee shop, community room, library, pool hall, for the public to gather and for the residents to gather that is not in their own living quarters, or their own neighborhoods.”

Plus there will also be more room for residents and those who need special assistance.

“Off to the northeast is our 16 bed assisted living that will be connected with the main street, to the southeast then is the eight bed Medicare assistance unit that we’ll use for skilled folks that need recovery from maybe knee surgery, hip surgery, something like that with a state of the art therapy room.

Friess says they expect this new expansion will require at least 6 to 10 new employees.
