Anyone wanting to attend this weekend’s tree crop event put on by the Dallas County Conservation Board is asked to registered before the end of the day.

The Raising Tree Crops in Iowa event takes place Sunday at 1:30pm.  The group will meet at the Forest Park Museum where Tom Wahl from Redfern Farm in Wapello will speak about raising your own fruit and nut trees.

Wahl is a leader in the sustainable agriculture industry.  He will talk about his use of hybrid hazelnuts, paw paws, Chinese chestnuts, northern pecans, Asian pears, European pears and aronia berry bushes.
