Senior Tyler Thompson ran his consecutive scoreless inning streak to 11 1/3 Monday night after pitching Perry past former RRC rival Dallas Center Grimes 3-0. Thompson improved to 2-0 on the season and has yet to give up a run. He went 6 innings allowing three hits and three walks. He squeaked out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th when he enticed a Parker Shoot ground out to preserve the shut out. Junior left hander Will Whiton tossed a perfect 7th to earn his second save of the season. Jeremiah Ellett scored a pair of runs as Perry mustered only two first inning hits on the night. Nic Wilhelmi and Michael Lansing added RBI’s while Will Whiton scored a run following a pair of stolen bases and a DCG throwing error.
