The Perry Bluejays picked up their second straight win Wednesday night defeating Norwalk 2-0 in non conference action. The Jays used a familiar recipe for the victory…timely hits and solid pitching. Despite mustering only 3 hits, the Bluejays pushed across single tallies in the first and fourth innings. Nic Wilhelmi had 2 of Perry’s 3 hits while Ben Daniels chipped in the second RBI. Tyler Thompson was outstanding on the mound for Perry going 5 1/3 of shutout of baseball. Jeremiah Ellett picked up the save. Will Whiton made a critical catch in the fourth inning in centerfield to preserve the shutout and keep the Bluejays perfect on the young season. Perry will host Roland Story in a varsity doubleheader Friday night at Progressive Field. Shawn Kenney will have the play by play of both games beginning at 5:20. Complete box score down below.
