With the Lake Panorama Association trying their best to prevent invasive species from becoming a problem at the lake, a notice has been issued to members pertaining to their guest boating privileges.
Lake residents are allowed to apply for up to three $25 guest boat passes a year, but there are more steps to the application process this season.
Along with the need for members to apply and pay for the pass, guests must contact LPA Security, complete an invasive species questionnaire and pass a boat inspection. If the boat does pass an inspection, a guest pass will then be issued.
Lake Panorama guest boating passes are for 48 hours, and they can only be used during the weekdays or non-holidays.
The LPA says similar procedures will be used to monitor guest use of the Lake Panorama National Resort, Clover Ridge Timeshares and members who rent out their properties.
Anyone with questions can call the LPA Office at 641-755-2301.
