We’re in the midst of National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, and to celebrate their time of recognition, Stuart Rescue has some activities planned to “spread the EMS word.”
Those activities begin tomorrow night, when Stuart Rescue will be hosting a free will donation supper from 5 to 8pm in the Stuart Fire & Rescue Hall. Interim director Kelly Surber says awards will also be given out during the supper to Stuart Rescue personnel and the Stuart Rescue Explorers starting at 6:30.
Hot dogs, chili, chips, cookies and refreshments will be provided at the supper.
Surber says Stuart Rescue will then get out into local classrooms on Thursday to teach area 3rd, 4th and 5th-graders some CPR techniques.
Anyone with questions about Stuart Rescue’s supper tomorrow night can contact Surber at 515-523-2400.
