The Practical Farmers of Iowa’s 2014 Field Day Guide has been released, and one of this year’s 35 field days will be held here in Guthrie County.
In fact, the organization’s final field day of 2014 will take place in our area–that being in Panora on November 15th.
Communications Specialist Tamsyn Jones says this field day will be held at Early Morning Harvest, a farm operation owned by Earl and Jeff Hafner. Their session is titled “Milling Small Grains and Aquaponics Production,” and it will run from 1 to 4pm on November 15.
All Practical Farmers’ field days are open to the public and most are free to attend. This year’s field day schedule kicked off on Sunday in Boone and the next will be held on May 31st in Winneshiek County. Field days are held all over the state from now until November.
