Summer is the busiest time of the year for the Perry Public Library and staff is getting ready to welcome readers of all ages to this year’s summer reading programs.
Today we will focus on the children’s program, themed Fizz, Boom, Read.
This year the programs are science themed with several different age groups. Children’s librarian Suzanne Kestel says the Wee Wonders are for babies birth to two years old, Twisters are two to five year olds, Robots are kids from kindergarten to 2nd grade and the Beakers are 3rd through 5th graders.
And the more they read, the more rewards they earn.
This year’s grand prizes range from an iPod shuffle to science kids.
