Guthrie Center’s New Homestead Nursing Home is hosting its second annual Vendor’s Fair tomorrow to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Guthrie County Relay for Life.
Cindy Simpson wears many hats for New Homestead, and she says the event is simply a way to cap off a successful National Nursing Home Week for her organization.
“What we hope is to have the community to see what a great place this nursing home is… and the proceeds all go to a good cause. We hope that all of our exhibitors that come have lots of people that purchase from them. We’d like to keep doing this each and every year, (making it) bigger and better.”
Simpson says vendors selling a variety of different products have signed up to enter their booths in the fair tomorrow, which will run from 8am to 1pm.
New Homestead has been celebrating National Nursing Home Week throughout this week, and Simpson discusses that in full detail during today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County on K107. As always, that program will play during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours.
