Morningside College in Sioux City recently held its track and field award banquet and Jacob Simpson of Jefferson was presented with a “Give Back” award. Simpson, a freshman distance runner and son of Greene County High School girls’ head track and field coach Kelly Simpson, received the award for community service work. He volunteers at the Sunnybrook Reform Church in Sioux City, working with youth members.
