The annual Greene County Master Gardener’s plant sale is tomorrow in Jefferson.
County ISU Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley says the plant sale is a great way for people to spruce up their gardens for the summer and fall. Plus, he adds that the plants at the sale will be from the gardens of the master gardeners so you know that they are a proven product for the county.
Cooley explains that the master gardeners will be on hand during the plant sale to answer any of your gardening questions and they are a wonderful resource to have for gardening designs.
“Whether it be specific about a plant that you just purchased or other plants, or weeds or anything like that at home in your garden, they can help answer questions. Oftentimes they’ll come out and take a look firsthand and give you their thoughts and what they know might be able to help you out with whatever issue you might be having.”
There will be perennial and annual plants, vegetables, water and houseplants and free literature about gardening.
The sale will be at the commercial building on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson from 9-10:30am on Saturday, May10th with all proceeds going back to the master gardeners for programs.
