Perry’s DMACC VanKirk Career Academy is offering a new class this summer for local Spanish speaking residents.
The HiSET has replace the GED program at DMACC and this summer the local community college is offering the high school equivalent diploma program in both English and Spanish.
In order to earn your HiSET, students must past five tests in reading, math, social studies, writing and science. The test is priced at $50 with up to two free tests per subject include for up to one year.
Orientation for the new Spanish course will be held Monday, May 19th from 6-9pm. Classes will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting that same week.
