With warmer weather fast approaching, golf seems to be on everybody’s minds right now, and that includes the mind of the Panora Lions Club.

The Lions is hosting the Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament later this month, and Pastor Gary Freeland invites all area residents to participate.

The 18-hole best shot golf tournament will be held at the Panorama West Golf Course on Saturday, May24th, with a shotgun start scheduled for 1pm.

The cost to register a team of four is $160, which includes golf and a post-round meal.  Various prizes and a $1,000 hole-in-one prize will be offered as part of the tournament. 

Freeland says all proceeds will go to the Guthrie County Veterans Memorial, which is raising funds for its statue project at the county courthouse.
