Those needing information about Medicare and how the program works are invited to a free seminar called “Welcome to Medicare” that will be held at the Greene County Medical Center next week.
The program is conducted by the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselors and it is designed to help individuals who are going to be eligible for Medicare or who are already on Medicare but want to better understand how the program works.
The two-hour “Welcome to Medicare” seminar will cover Medicare Part A and B benefits, Part D-the prescription drug benefit, Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare supplement insurance.
It will be held on Tuesday, May 6th from 6-8pm in the medical center cafeteria.
