vote_earlyDallas County Auditor and Elections Commissioner Gene Krumm encourages all voters to register early for this year’s primary election.

In order to cast a ballot, all voters need to be registered.  While you can do so at the polls on Election Day, Krumm says you can avoid extra paperwork by doing so ahead of time.

Pre-registration must be completed by May 23rd for the June 3rd primary.

Anyone who votes absentee at the Auditor’s office after the deadline and those who plan to register on Election Day at the polls need to show both proof of residence and proof of identity.

Residency documents must be hard copies such as a property tax statement, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or other government document.

The Dallas County Auditor’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
