A check of QuikStats Iowa, the official track and field reporting service for the Iowa High School track and field shows Greene County with several events ranking high among Class 3A programs through April 29. On the boys’ side, senior Roman Phillips ranks second in both the 100 and 200 meter dash in Class 3A.

The Greene County girls ranked eighth in 3A in the shuttle hurdle relay with Eme Johnson, Nadia Fisher, Sarah Sandage, and Kate Sandage. Fisher is tied for the seventh best high jump in 3A and Hannah Onken is ninth in the class in the discus throw. Johnson is ranked 10th in the 400 meter hurdles. Johnson is 16th in the 100 meter hurdles and Kate Sandage is 18th in the same event. The Greene County teams are scheduled for the Boone Classic on May 1 in Boone, weather permitting.
