Course availability and other issues forced Heart of Iowa Activities Conference officials to change the date of the conference girls’ golf tournament more than once earlier this season. The event was to have been in May, but now is set for this Wednesday, April 30 near Boone at the Cedar Point Golf Course. Greene County is acting as the host school.
The Rams, under the coaching of Keith Vander Wilt, played four times last week, but have only two playing dates on the schedule this week. After playing 18 holes at the conference tournament on Wednesday, Greene County has a nine-hole match at Story City on Thursday, May 1 vs. Roland-Story at 4 p.m.
The Greene County boys don’t play until May 1 when they host Saydel (Des Moines) in JV/varsity action at the Lakeside course near Grand Junction.
