According to Foundation Secretary Julie Kipp, 22 applications from various organizations throughout Guthrie County were sent to the Foundation’s Board of Directors this year, and 19 applications received full or partial funding for their projects.

In all, the Foundation is giving away $104,846 as part of its 2014 granting cycle.

Noting a few of the entities receiving grants, the Yale Community Club is receiving the largest source of funding, as they’ve been awarded $12,500 for a new generator.  The City of Menlo is also receiving a healthy amount of funding–$11,700 for new playground equipment.

Two organizations will get $10,000 in funding.  They are the Panora Volunteer Fire Department, which will use the monies to purchase eight new sets of bunker gear, and the Guthrie County Agricultural Society.
