The Stuart Fire & Rescue Departments are hosting an open house and recruitment day event next month, and Fire Chief Mike Renslow invites all area residents to attend.

It will be held Saturday, May 10th, from noon to 3pm at the Stuart Fire Hall.

The open house will be for the public to view new equipment and apparatus utilized by both departments.  Renslow hopes the public will also visit to check out his department’s new fire truck, which came in at the end of 2013.

Refreshments will be provided as part of the open house.

Also, for anyone in the area interested in joining either department as a volunteer, numerous members of current staff will be on-hand to answer any questions you might have.
