We’re just a few weeks from Perry’s inaugural Antique Days and the new event has drummed up a lot of interest.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Wilson says so far they have around 20 vendors signed up for the event.
“It’s coming together nicely, we’re going to showcase downtown. Our indoor vendors will be at La Poste, which is at the corner of 3rd and Warford. We’re gonna have our local restaurants come out front and offer some specials. Just have a good old fashioned antique show” says Wilson.
Though visitors are expected to visit Perry for the two-day event, Wilson says it’s crucial for local residents to come support it as well.
“We need you guys as local residents to come downtown. Get your feet on the street. Get in those stores. Look at those antiques and support this event because this is where we’re lacking. We’re lacking downtown events at this time. So bring your friends, call your cousins, bring your uncle, whatever it is but this is where we need the support.”
Antique Days takes place downtown Perry Saturday May 3rd and Sunday the 4th.
