All dogs and their owners are invited to the annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt in Jefferson this weekend.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says they will again help the Animal Protection and Education organization of Greene County to sponsor the fun event that allows all area dogs a chance to enjoy an event where treats are given to both dogs and owners.

Last year, about 12 dogs participated in the event.  She asks for all dogs to be on a leash for the Saturday activity.

The cost is only $1 per paw with all proceeds to go back to APE to provide low cost spay and neuter services to low-income families which is what the goal of the organization is about.

Registration will begin at 12:30pm on Saturday, April 19th at Daubendiek Park in Jefferson with the hunt to begin at 1pm.
