The Stuart Police Department is joining with Wright Pharmacy to host a medication disposal event in just a couple of weeks.

Prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and vitamins will be accepted at the take-away event, which will take place from 9am to 1pm at Wright Pharmacy on Saturday, April 26th.

Controlled substances will be accepted from 10am to noon that day.

Stuart Police Officer Mike Algreen says the event is a way to “keep the streets of Stuart clean and safe,” and he hopes area residents will participate in the important community event.
