stuart2The Stuart City Council meets tonight for its April session.

There are many items on the agenda, with the first being an announcement from new Stuart Fire Chief Mike Renslow, who will ask the Council to approve his new Fire Department officials.

Next, the Council will consider a pay estimate of almost $35,000 to Priority Excavating relating to work done on the Wambold Project.  There will also be discussion about street lighting along N 2nd Street in the housing subdivision.

A pay estimate to Roy Sargent for work done on the Rock Island Depot Restoration Project will then be discussed.

The Council will also enter talks pertaining to building inspector fees, nuisance properties, the resignation of Jeff Howard as Stuart Operations Director, and finally, they’ll discuss a possible partnership with SEED, or Stuart’s Enterprise for Economic Development.

To conclude the meeting, Forrest Aldrich will address the Council to discuss the status of the Downtown Restoration Project.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30pm in City Hall.
