The Perry Boys Soccer team competed last night in Raccoon River Conference play at Dewey Field against the Winterset Huskies. The Bluejays would win by a score of 5-1. Ian Velasco would get the scoring started at the 15 minute mark, then Winterset would tie the game up in the 33rd minute on a Penalty Kick, and it was knotted up at 1 at intermission. Then it was all Bluejays in the second half. Ivan Garcia connected on two goals in the half, as well David Cardenas and Javier Miranda would round out the scoring. With the victory the Bluejays move to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Bluejays return to the pitch on Thursday at home against Carlisle andFriday at Des Moines Hoover.
